In short: Brilliancy does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. The app works entirely on your device.
This policy applies to the Brilliancy mobile application (“the app”, “we”, “us”) for iOS. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
We do not collect, request, or receive any personal information. Specifically, the app does not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, or any usage or analytics data.
The app has no user accounts and no login. You are never asked to register or provide any information about yourself.
To make the app work, a small amount of information is saved locally on your device only, using your device’s standard app storage. This includes:
This information never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else, it is not backed up to any server we control, and we have no ability to access it. (It may be included in your own device backups if you have those enabled through Apple, which are governed by Apple’s privacy policy, not ours.)
The app contains no advertising, no analytics or crash-reporting services, and no tracking technologies of any kind. We do not build a profile of you and we do not track you across apps or websites.
The app does not integrate any third-party software development kits (SDKs) that collect data. Chess piece artwork, fonts, historical game data, and all other content are bundled inside the app. The app functions fully offline and does not require an internet connection to play.
The app may contain a link to the project’s public source-code page. If you tap it, your device’s web browser opens that page; any browsing from that point is governed by the privacy policies of that website and your browser, not by this policy.
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because we collect no data at all, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our side. The information stored locally on your device (see Section 3) remains until you delete it. Deleting the app from your device removes that locally stored information.
Since no personal data is transmitted or stored off your device, there is no personal data in our possession to be lost, exposed, or breached. Information saved on your device is protected by your device’s own security features.
Privacy laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) give you rights over personal data that a company holds about you. Because we do not collect or hold any personal data about you, there is no such data for us to access, correct, delete, or export. You remain in full control of the information stored locally on your device, which you can remove at any time by deleting the app.
The app can be used anywhere and processes information only on your own device. No data is transferred internationally by us, because no data is transferred by us at all.
If the app’s data practices ever change, this policy will be updated and the “Last updated” date above will be revised. Any future version will remain accessible at this address. We encourage you to review it from time to time.
